Detox: What And Why
In the section of Mind-Body, I have pointed out the importance of –negative– emotions in any process of weight loss since they can indeed ruin your hormonal balance and, therefore, prevent you from losing weight easily and permanently. In this section, you will also learn how important it is for your body to get rid of the huge range of toxic elements which we are exposed to daily. If your cells are accumulating large quantities of toxins, you are very likely to fail in any attempt to shed all those extra pounds; no matter what you do or how hard you try, it will seem as if your body was working against you. Stuffing your fat cells with toxins is your body’s self-defence strategy to get the poison out of your circulation so as to protect vital organs. Thus, although our body is indeed protecting itself from the attack of external agents, we cannot help but feeling frustrated as it means that our weight loss will stop or that we will start even gaining weight.
